

Dr Jath Palasubramaniam is a consultant cardiologist who has been serving the Warragul and surrounding communities since 2022. He completed his undergraduate medical training at the University of Melbourne, graduating in 2007. He completed his cardiology training at the Alfred Hospital and subsequently undertook further fellowship training at Western Health and the Austin Hospital, honing his skills in interventional and structural cardiology respectively.
Jath has a busy practice throughout the Gippsland and Bass Coast regions. He sees patients at the West Gippsland Hospital Consulting Suites and Barkly Street Rooms of Baw Baw Physicians. He also has appointments at Latrobe Regional Hospital and Bass Coast Health. He performs coronary angiography, stenting and right heart catheterisation procedures at Latrobe Regional Hospital.
In addition to his regional practice, he holds appointments at the Alfred Hospital and Cabrini Hospital in Melbourne where he also consults and offers a range of interventional and structural cardiology procedures.
Jath sees patients with a wide variety of cardiac presentations and problems. He has a particular interest in preventative cardiology including hypertension and lipid management, chest pain evaluation and ischaemic heart disease management, as well as the management of valvular and other structural heart diseases.
